IPhone & iPad Calendar app

App overview:

• Universal iPhone & iPad app
• App to be stable & fast, including syncing quickly
• In app purchases
• Native development
• Vendor to have strong UI & design skills. The app should be intuitive & slick to use
• Vendors to ideally have created a calendar type app before (please send details)
• Portrait & landscape mode
• Any app updates will not delete the info stored on the device
• For iPhone 3G upwards and all iPads, doesn’t include retina display

App features:

• Calendar runs from 2012 to 2020. In app purchases to buy a year from 2013. All content to be stored on the app, and unlocked when the in app purchase is complete
• Not to be linked to a server
• Dates to be in US format
• Syncs automatically on app start & change with:
o Google calendar
o iCal
o CAlDAV
o iOS calendar
o iCloud
o Outlook
o When you update app it accesses & modifies the other calendars when connected to the internet
• Add, edit & remove events. Can copy & paste text in events
• Week numbers customisable – pick what week each year will be week 1
• To include US, Canada, UK, Ireland & Australia, NZ holidays (in app purchase) can be turned on or off.
• Customisable text size & colour
• Customisable background colour
• Users can add their own backgrounds (in app purchase) for list, day, week & month view. Each month can have a different background.
• App is password protected
• Can set local reminders for each event from 1 minute upwards.
• Set any day to be the start of the week
• Set reoccurring reminders on a certain date, or ‘1st Thursday per month’ type.
• Set your time zone
• Delete one events or a batch of reoccurring events.
• Task list per day. Can set & delete re-occurring tasks. Tasks can be assigned priorities. Highest priority task per day is listed highest on screen.
• Calendar events can be sent via email if you want to notify someone of an event.
• Zoom in & out by pinching
• Search all events in the app
• View calendar in the time zone you are in
• Can select, copy & paste event to a new day.
• Drag & drop – you can move events on screen by selecting, dragging & dropping to a new place in your calendar.
• Batch editing – eg. all selected events can be moved by x hours/days or cancelled.
• List, day, week and month view
• Day view – set default time to be show on screen daily (e.g. 8, 9am etc)
• Week view – option to hide weekends days
• Month view - text to appear on main month screen, not just dots. Shows 5 weeks at a time, starting with current week. Option to show list of events per day underneath, or have full month screen with no list of events.
• Touch an event & a popup appears. Touch the popup & you to see the full event

Vendor information:

• Graphic work to be completed by vendor.
• Full development & end to end QA
• Short GDD will be supplied
• App to be set up with clients Apple account. All dev certs etc required will be sent to vendor on request
• Support required until app published in app store
• No audio required, graphics to be done by vendor
• Timeline: reasonable, next few weeks
• Your approach to ensuring delivery of a bug free product
• Confirmation work includes supporting me to get you the correct dev certs from my account, and also when I am upload into the app to Apple via my account, up to the app being published
• Any issues from Apple in an app rejection will be fixed
