Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Currently we have an application that was developed for use on Mac OS X. This software is used to perform analysis against large data sets and provide output that is interpreted into reports for clients.
We are in the process of automating the work and require the logic to be written into a Windows executable file that we are able to run from a command line on a server.
The logic for the creation of the file is contained in SAS code that will need to be interpreted as the rule base for creation of the file.
The process flow is as follows:
1) Data is dropped into the working directory.
2) The server runs a process that looks for new data having arrived in the directory.
3) The process confirms that new data has arrived and calls the executable
4) The executable refers to a configuration file that indicates delimiters and other aspects of the file structure.
5) The executable is run against the data.
6) The executable references an external file and applies computations against the raw data, adding outcomes from the calculations to a saved file.
7) The output is stored.
8) The output is saved and sent to the working directory.
