I am looking for a programmer who can develop a simple Augmented Reality application, which will use C# and Alvar with Open CV for its implementation. Application needs to be developed in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, because the later versions like Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 don’t support the pre-written Alvar library with Open CV.
The purpose of this application is to display/render 2-3 3D models on the corresponding number of fiducial markers (AR marker). In other words application will have from 2 to 3 3D models stored in its library and each of them will be called from this library when a pre-assigned marker in detected by a web camera, so each of 2-3 fiducial markers will correspond to a particular 3D model.
All of the 2-3 3D models are available in any desired file format, including FBX format, which is a standard 3D file format supported by C# and Alvar. The reason for 2 or 3 3D models being mentioned earlier, because it will depend on the progress with the project, so if it’s only possible to develop application for 2 3D models in its library with a given time, which is ASAP, then it’s OK, but if there will be possibility to add a 3rd 3D model, then it’s even better.
Other system requirements for this application include:
1. The system/application has to have an interactive menu (e.g. a starting menu, which will be used in order to launch the application and a dedicated button which will launch the PDF file for AR markers.)
2. The system/application has obvious interaction(s). For example, the user should be able to interact with the objects (3D models) and manipulate them (e.g. scale, rotate, etc.)
3. The system/application can be initialised at any time. For example, user can always reset the properties, like scale, position, etc.
4. System/application does not crash
Please note that in order to develop this application in the shortest time period possible, a pre-written Alvar library is available up on request as well as a series of storyboards for this project. So please send me a personal message so I can reply to you with a file attached to it.
Please don’t make a bid if you won’t be able to develop this project quickly. But I understand that in order for you to decide how long it will take you to develop this application, you may want to have a look at the available assets which you will be working with, including a pre-written Alvar library and a storyboards or any other clarifications if needed, so please let me know and I will be happy to send you all of the above in order for you to decide your time frame for this project.
