Android Power Saving Mode

I would like a power saving mode for my current Android app, that shuts down the GPS when the device is within range of the same WiFi for more than 5 minutes.

for example when I arrive at my office, my phone will remain in range of the same WiFi, therefore do not need tracking data. When I go to a meeting, the device will track me on route and stop tracking once I am at the clients office for 5 minutes GPS will go off.

I hope this makes sense, hard to describe but have seen this in Android SDK
