Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: We sell network and security solutions
Kind of development: Customization of existing program
Platform: Vtiger
Num. of modules: 1
Description of every module: Quote module being used to generate an order form and print a specific / custom template.
Description of requirements/functionality: We are trying to bespoke a print template within vTiger. In short, we have built the template and it works to a degree but in essence all we need to do is separate out products which are payable with an upfront cost into one table and then anything with a monthly cost in a new table.
When editing the form, the first table is adding products based on a product and we have then put anything with a monthly cost into services so that we have different code for each and we can update the product type into the correct table on the print template (order form). The table doesn't update correctly mainly because it uses the array called $LINEITEM - so when it builds the template it gets to the second table and because it uses the same array it then puts the final line of the list in the above table into the lower table.
Sounds complicated but we can show you very quickly, its quite simple. So, we either need a bit of code to build a new type of array (so the products don't mix into the wrong table) or a new way entirely (your suggestion) for how to use products and separate them into tables with totals for monthly products or upfront products? Any ideas?
Its very simple what we need to do but given we are new to this platform we are struggling to make it happen exactly right.
Specific technologies required: Good vTiger knowledge
Extra notes:
