SuiteCRM Upgrade from 7.9.6 to latest version stable version

I have a few custom-developed modules of suite CRM which were built in 2016 and upgraded last in 2019. After that, the instance is not used.I need to upgrade the suite CRM instance and PHP to the latest compatible versions.
We are using Version 7.9.6
Sugar Version 6.5.25 (Build 344)
2) Server is: AWS EC2 instance Linux
We need to move to the latest Suite CRM prod version. So an upgrade plan and execution are needed. ( like from 7.9.6 to 7.10, then from 7.10 to XX etc all the way up to the latest stable version )
I will take a backup of the AWS instance and then we try this upgrade. Maybe we might have to upgrade PHP version also.
