Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hi all,
We've been let down by a developer who had committed to integrating a product data feed into Magento, and are actively seeking somebody with EXPERIENCE in this. Demonstratable experience/portfolio work is essential - we had assurance from the last chap with a broad magento portfolio he would have no problem completing, but the task was not one he was confident with in the end.
Essentially, the task is twofold:
1. website is required to bring in data from the Smiffys website using their datafeeds, and populate the database with products. NOTE that it must allow for differentiation between Smiffys lines and the other suppliers product lines, for reasons below. This feed should be constant, not just an import of static product data, as both prices, and more importantly stock levels are required to be dynamic so that it's clear when items are in stock with the supplier.
2. The other service offered by Smiffys is e-fulfilment, and ideally we want our Magento install to be able to communicate back xsd order data to Smiffys, so that orders for their products can be fulfilled and dropshipped by them.
The reason for differentiation between Smiffys and non-Smiffys lines is that we want only the stock that is e-fulfillable to be sent through to Smiffys - additionally some of their lines are not on the e-fulfilment list, and would also not need to be sent to Smiffys on order.
Please feel free to communicate back with your experience, your thoughts for a solution and turnaround time - it would be useful to have someone on board who has a broader experience of Magento custom development work, as we have some other sites we want to develop upon too.
Thanks in advance.
