Redesing 2 web pages

I need 2 web page designed to have the 'WoW!!' effect

The website is www.somersetpropertymeet.com & has 2 pages I want to wave a magic wand at.They are dull pages! Links below.

What I want is for when people click on the page they say 'Wow' what a brilliant page and will want to keep coming back to it

Here is one of my friends sites - http://www.penkent.com/reading-list - this looks like a messy page to me - too much info -
I was thinking maybe have a bookshelf over the whole screen and when you hover over books they pop out at you? I want to keep all the titles on my existing web-page and add all the titles from the Kent PEN site - they are universal titles that everyone reads :-)

I'd like to keep the words "Getting properly educated . ." etc
and call the page 'Welcome to our Library'

I have just joined Amazon affiliate link - is this something I can easily add myself later

The same thing with the Resources page. I'll think of more resources to add and want the page to be much more welcoming.

Can you create these pages independent from the website and I can get them added by my long term web guy.
