I need help with Magento attributes & attribute sets please

Description: I have a Magento store and have loaded products onto it but am not convinced that I am doing it correctly as it seems to take so long to do - am sure it shouldn't do!

I just can't get my head fully around the attributes & attribute sets part and need some guidance.

I need someone who knows 100% what they are doing on this to train me so I can carry on with things. I will grasp it quite easily once told so shouldn't take too long.

Can do this over Skype or email if easier. Its is for a clothing store.
