Description
Experience Level: Entry
General information for the website: Running latest version of WooCommerce with customized Storefront theme
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of requirements/features: We need a custom coded WooCommerce function that does the following:
Customer arrives at the shopping cart from external (HTML) links. These links prepopulate the shopping cart with products.
One of these prepopulated products is for a recurring membership. We need the following functionality added:
If customer removes the membership product from their cart, another item in the cart will need to be automatically removed and replaced with a similar but higher cost item. So basically if they keep the membership in their cart they get a a special product with a discount, however if they remove the membership they no longer have access to the previous item that was in the cart (it has been replaced with a higher priced one).
We also need additional functionality so that they can add the membership back into their cart and the old item is then put back in (replacing the one that was recently added in it's place).
