Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
I am contacting you for a potential data assignment which can either be done manually or using an automated process to be developed by you. The assignment involves copying a Vietnam War bombing database from a website into Microsoft Excel. The database includes 9141 rows and is available here:
http://www.workerveteranhealth.org/milherbs/new/herbs.php?s=1&a=&c=&m=&utm=&din=&dout=&page=1
The database creation task involves three steps:
1) Copy and paste each of the 9,141 bombing missions' data into an Excel spreadsheet, including the following variables: Date, Mission, Starting UTM, Method, Agent, Gallons.
2) For each mission, click on the 'Mission Map' button and add the geographic coordinates into 2 new variables: Starting Point, Endling Point.
Note: For some missions with multiple Starting and Ending Points, you need to create multiple rows per mission.
3) Convert the geographic coordinates copied under 'Starting Point' and 'Endling Point' from MGRS format into WGS84, i.e. Latitude and Longitude using this conversion website which allows batch conversion:

A sample spreadsheet which I manually created using the above process can be shared with you after receiving your feedback for further negotiation. We prefer to agree upon a fixed price agreement for this task and invite all proposals.
Thanks for your time and consideration, we will look forward to your kind response.
With best regards,
Rahul

Can you edit/remove 3rd Step? Look at the 3rd step as this needs to be skipped and checked by the site which gives direct co-ordinates.

Fetching the Map data and converting it will be done Manually. May I know your Budget for the Project as your current budget is not even enough for scrapping?
