If a user enters 1.00 into a web site is it possible that the website database could populate the data incorrectly with another zero 1.000?
Can a script malfunction?
Is it 1% possible the data could be populated inaccurately even though the user has entered the data correctly?
I need to know if data can be populated electronically incorrectly and how this could happen?
Is there any high court case law where a person has entered the data correctly and the database company has blamed the user for incorrectly inputting the data but it is later found out that the database was to blame?

It simply depends on the value type of the database field. Simple as that.

Hi, it is highly unlikely for an already working script to suddenly start changing input. Not unless it was programmed to do so.
