Online Stock Management System / Database

We need a secure online stock management system. The system should allow us to add all of our individual components such as PC's, Projectors, Cables etc with serial numbers and purchase dates, and easily run look ups for a group of system components. This means we need to be able to create product groups, for instance, we have a system called Magic Carpet - this has more than 40 individual components - we would like to be able to search the product name and have the system return all of the components associated with the product,showing stock levels and then assign these items to a specific job/client name. It should be a simple system with a clean elegant front end.
