MySQL Accountancy Project Help

We are producing a finacial accounting package based on MySQL and PHP. The system covers all aspects of Financial accounting and the database holds invoices, payments, clients, products and suppliers. We have come to a hurdle when creating a account details screen similar to an online banking screen that shows your transactions over a specified period as we need to pull data in from 4 tables and weave the results together based on date.
