Details:
The new database application will be broken down into four main areas as follows:

%uF076 Reporting & Emailing
%uF076 Maintenance
Data Entry:
The main data entry will be broken down into 3-4 pages, with the emphasis being on ease of use for the operator. The specific data will be as per the scanned graphic (Appendix A) below although there will be an allowance for changes and additions to this list of fields during the developmental stage.
The following header fields which will be associated with user-defined tables. The user will only be allowed choose from a previously defined entry.

The fields to the right of Location, Operation and Type of Works will be tick-box entries.
All fields in the latter two-thirds of the form (section 1 %u2013 11), unless specified by Kone, will use the drop down feature to allow for quick and easy input. The choices on the drop-down will be as follows:

%uF0D8 2
%uF0D8 3
All other fields such as Others On Site will allow for free text entry.
Search facilities will also be available on the main data entry form. This will allow for searching of the database by the following:

%uF0D8 Foreman
Pending Tasks:
After entering the main inspection details, functionality is required to enter tasks pending as a result of the inspection. These tasks will require the following information:
%uF0D8 Comments / Remedial Action (Free text box)
%uF0D8 Responsibility (User-defined list)
%uF0D8 Action Required By (Date)
%uF0D8 Closure Date (Date %u2013 blank on the initial entry)
%uF0D8 Close By (User-defined list)
Post entry of these pending tasks, the closure date and closed by will be input.
Reporting & Emailing:
The following reports will be included with the application:
%uF0D8 Full Inspection Report
Report printing all details in a similar layout to the existing manual entry form, including pending tasks
%uF0D8 Pending Tasks List
Report, selectable by date / location, displaying all pending tasks. Also option to include closed tasks.
A performance graph report is also a requirement but awaiting feedback from P.McVicar on details.

Various maintenance screens will be required to allow for the setup and maintenance of various tables used for data entry. The following is the list of current entries:
