Hi
Im trying to think of some ideas for my site which make it better than some competitors in what it has to offer. (the site is ditchyourdomestics.com)
I am looking for peole who can find solutions to the following problems and imlpement them:
1) Feedback is a hit and miss situation. Firstly, I need ideas on how to encourage people to leave feedback. Sites such as this one require both parties to be registered and by bidding for prejects and paying funds through the site you can pretty much rely on the feedback. On my site one of my main principles was that I did not want people who are looking for domestic providers to have to go through a sign up process. Also, when people do leave feedback you of course have no way of knowing whether it is genuine or not.
So, any ideas out there? Ive read some sugegstions about a LinkedIn type mechanism so that you can view people that your friends have hired etc but dont know if this would be practical in this sitaution.
Any ideas?
2) Secondly, when the results are displayed it shows the oldest members of the site at the top and the newest members right down the bottom. Can anyone think of an idea and implement it whereby they are guarenteed better exposure?
