Excel Setup Required – Interim Applications Log & Monthly Summary (Same-Day Delivery)
Project Overview

I am looking for an Excel specialist to help me finalise and tidy an existing Excel file used for tracking interim applications on construction projects.

The structure, layouts, and sample data already exist. The work mainly involves linking data correctly, importing historic information, and cleaning up the file so it functions as one clean, consistent system going forward.

⏱️ This task requires same-day delivery.
It should be a straightforward, efficient job for someone experienced with Excel.

What the Excel File Needs to Do
1. Project List Import

Use a tab called “Project List” as the master list of projects

Project names and references feed automatically throughout the file

New projects added to the Project List should populate elsewhere automatically

2. Interim Applications Log (Main Data Entry)

All interim applications entered into one central log

Log updated monthly

Each row represents one interim application

Fields include (as per sample file):

Project

Application number

Month

Values / totals

Historic interim applications to be migrated into this log

Some older data may be incomplete

Populate as much as reasonably possible using the new format

3. Monthly Summary Tab

Complete a summary tab that:

Shows number of applications per selected month

Shows monthly totals

Summary pulls data automatically from the Interim Applications Log

No manual data entry on summary tab

4. File Clean-Up & Presentation

Once historic data is migrated:

Delete all old / redundant tabs

Incorporate:

Company logo

Clean, professional formatting

File must be:

Easy to maintain

Ready for continued monthly use
