Description
Experience Level: Entry
I'm looking for someone to help modernize an existing Excel dashboard we currently use. The dashboard needs to be made more accessible and user-friendly. At the moment, several formulas aren't functioning correctly, and the 'summary view' tab is outdated — it's not pivoting properly and fails to display the correct names.
My Excel skills are limited, so I’m seeking support to bring this up to date with fresh ideas and improvements. Ideally, I'd like to incorporate additional data points and insights that I may not be aware of, to enhance the overall functionality and value of the dashboard.
Task 1: Summary View Tab Fixes & Enhancements
• The current Summary View tab is not accurately calculating sales figures per person, nor is it correctly computing percentage-to-target metrics.
• Layout issues: Several boxes are misaligned, affecting readability and usability.
• Filtering functionality needs to be corrected:
• Month: Should display sales by account and account manager for the selected month only.
• Week: Same logic as above, but filtered by week.
• Account Manager: Should isolate and display relevant sales data for the selected manager.
Task 2: Channels Tab
• We need to present sales data in the following comparative format:
• Versus Last Year: Show both £ value and % change.
• Versus Budget: Show both £ value and % change.
• Due to the volume of data, a single-page view is not practical. We’d like to implement a multi-select dropdown filter so users can choose which data points to display, making the dashboard more dynamic and user-friendly.
- Important Note: Please do not alter the existing sorts or data order, as I have changed customer names to generic Customer 1 Customer 2 etc for data protection.
