I am a young volunteer for a charity that manages and owns there own youth centre, the charity is made up of young people aged between 12 - 21, with support from myself. The youth centre is ran by these young people and rely on grants to run the centre.
We are looking to try and move with the time and have our accounts system and letting system to computers to make it better for the young people.
We would need a basic database idea for the accounts system so we can enter in transactions and expenses and view reports. I have found one on the Microsoft office web site that looks good enough but we would need it edited a bit. if going for this one it would need to be edited to allow us to produce month account statements and allow us to be able to enter account details month by month (almost like having Jan account details in a different database then Feb details but all in one database)
I have attached the database I found.
next thing we were needing is a letting system.
we have 4 /5 different sections of the youth centre we let out to people. from our main hall to office space. they are usually charged per hour at a set rate.
Just now we have it as paper form when someone wants to book out the area they fill out the form then we have a section we need to fill out with the let details and when they paid etc. looking to make this all on the computer so when they fill out the sheet we create them as a new user (if they book with us often) or as a 1 off booking. we would need to be able to enter in there name, group name, purpose of let, dates and the charge per hour and what area they are booking. Also it would be good if this could produce invoices for us to print and send out to people that have not paid, it would need have a bit what we can tick when they have paid.
hope this makes sense
