Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I need to further automate the Excel workbooks that my sales agents utilize.
I’ve attached a simplified sample of our typical Excel workbook (EA-DB-test.xls) that we use, made up of 3 worksheets (Edit, Database, & letter)
I want to be able to start from any relative point in my data base (and copy then paste transpose the Prospect into my temp “EDIT” worksheet where if possible the macro/subroutine can pause (for manual editing by user) then resumes by printing (“LETTER” worksheet)
Our print ranges our usually preset however the MACRO should be able to use the fax number that was grabbed, and put that into SEND (dialog print box),
The workbook’s Macro 7 (ctrl n) is an attempt to do this routing to 3 consecutive records
(I have no clue how to pause a macro to allow manual input and then have the macro resume.)
I’ve been unable to use even a copy/paste function to enter into the print/fax send dialog box. (and being unable to automate that portion of this subroutine is really costing us)
Please let me know if you can be of service, and what your billable rates, and estimated total charges would be
You’ll note that we (currently use Macro 2 executes with Ctrl-A) to perform the 1st phase of this, however after manual Editing, I can’t figure out how to grab the fax number field info (numeric 10 consecutive digits is format needed) and then paste this into the send fax (entry area)
We have multiple workstations using Office/Excel 2000 and one station with Office/Excel 2003. I look forward to hearing from back from you regarding this. I expect that upon completion I will have further related work writing macros for our service business
Respectfully,
Brian Somerville
