Support with PowerBi Project

We have developed a Power BI Dashboard that compares competitor pricing data and looking for a little support and someone experienced in DAX to help support a refinement. Ideally delivery would be to update the existing Pibx and explain the approach so we can support ongoing.

Each row of data is a product reference with attributes such as Catagory, Product ID, Client Price and then Competitor Price. A calculation is then performed on the data that generates an Index score that establishes the competativeness of the product for that day. A score of 1.0 would mean the products are the same price. A score of 0.9 would mean the client product is 10% more expensive than the competitor.

The dashboard is configured to repreprocess on a daily basis and present by default "todays" comparison.

We have a requiement to extend the data modelling and dashboarding.

1) Each product has a catagory. The screen is to display an aggregate price Index for all products belonging to that catagory for that specific day.

2) Previous days are also available in the connection as a UNION with a column marking out the specific day. We wish to compare the index calculated for today() to today(-7 days).
