Hi,
I'm creating a projection model in Excel into which a user enters a series of data values to calculate a financial outcome. One function I wish to include is a marketing activity. The user would enter a typical marketing campaign volume (number of people they contact) and the expected response rate they would achieve at that campaign volume. Let's call these the 'set values'
After they've defined the set values, Id like them to enter a new value for the actual campaign volume, lets call this the 'activity volume'. in the real world if I used a smaller volume then the response rate would increase (because of better targeting i.e. Im going to my best performers), and if I choose a volume higher than my 'set value' then I would get a smaller response rate because I was going to a worse performing audience. However the average response rate would always flatten off at the two ends of the curve.
So I think this is a reverse sigmoid 'S' curve.
I'd like your help to create an excel sheet/s set up so that a user can add the set values and activity values and the sheet calculates the activity response rate at each activity volume level.
Inaddition Id like three curves to be created based on three levels of curve steepness, (shallow, steep, very steep)
The user would then be able to choose which of the curves to apply to the activity volumes they enter.
I hope you can help and happy to answer any questions.

Hello James,
How the actual response rate is going to be calculated ? Can you share some more details please .
Thank you.
