Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hi, This is a bit of a specialised job. I need a cosmetic chemist that can essentially group similar ingredients (typically used in skincare). I need someone qualified (not an amateur). It will be a rather administrative job but your cosmetic scientist skills would be valued! Potential for growth with our company!
Details:
We will be providing the successful candidate with a list of approximately 6500 ingredients (alphabetized) typically found in skincare products. There will be two parts to this job. We require you to review the list of ingredients and do the following:
1. Review the list of ingredients and group together (and track in a spreadsheet):
a. Any ingredients that are identical but happen to appear in the list under a different name
b. Any ingredients which are similar to each other and therefore should be considered closely related in a comparison exercise (eg. Polysorbate 20 and Polysorbate 40). I do NOT mean that each ingredient should be placed under a high level category like "surfactant". I want to be much more detailed than this. This means that many ingredients will not be able to be matched with any thing similar - however some will....and it is these I want to capture.
2. Provide the standard INCI name for each of the listed ingredients where they aren’t already in that format (many/most are already in INCI form)
I would like to understand from you: if you fully understand the project and how you intend to organize the information.
Thank you,
