Kind of development: Customization of existing website

Description of every page/module: User profile - UIF Applications - Submit issue
Description of requirements/features: The website has a user submission area, however since the last WP update the issue is that the user side doesn't get updated to from "Awaiting Submission" to "Submitted" when they have submitted their form. You can view this on the photo provided.
The files however DO still come through via email as its suppose to. The ONLY issue is that the page on the user side do not get updated from "Awaiting Submission" to "Submitted" with the submit box also grayed out.
