WordPress Website Development (from PSD)

Description: I am looking to outsource a WordPress website to you to develop. The sites will have around 10 pages and will have no complicated features. An design example is attached.

You will build the website according to two designs I'll provide you with. You'll receive a design for the homepage and one internal page. Subsequent internal pages will use a similar theme and features of the designed internal page. Please view the attached image to see the kind of design I'll be providing you with.

Sites will typically have around 5-10 pages of content (which will be supplied to you in a Word document) and will require a contact form, using the plugin Contact Form 7. Menus must use WordPress's own menu system. Templates which are initially unused (e.g., blog archive templates on a site with no initial blog) also need to be styled. Most builds will require a slider; you can use your discretion for implementing this but the slider will need to be easily customisable and extendable (so that I am able to change and add slides or captions using WordPRess's backend).

The websites you build will generally not involve any advanced functionality and I will provide you with the aforementioned designs and content document, so you won't require a brief. In the case that you are building a more complicated website though, you will of course be provided with a full brief.

You can build the site using HTML5 if you wish. I may need to make amendments to your build, so simple, clean and clear code is a vital requirement.

The websites you build will need to be compatible and tested with popular desktop browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 8-10). It must also be compatible with popular mobile device browsers (iPhone, iPad and Android), so touch device features must work with your build and elements can't rely on hover states to indicate important information.

I will be performing SEO on the site after your delivery, so your templates must be compatible with SEO plugins such as All in One SEO. I will also handle speed optimisation. You only need to install plugin you yourself require to complete the build.

I will set up the WordPress installation and send you FTP details.

If the first website you produce meets my requirements I can provide you with more websites to build. If you are a suitable developer I can provide you with 3 to 10 sites to build per week.

You will be in contact with me and I can answer any functionality or design queries you have. I can also assist you with extracting elements from a design if this is not possible without a designer's intervention. I am available to discuss projects via email between 10am and 5pm.

When contacting me please provide a cost for a simple 10 page WordPress website with a sensible design and no particularly complicated features.

In your accompanying message, please also provide a second quote for making the site responsive (see above for the specifications of a responsive build).
