WordPress theme customization

Hi,
I installed the following theme:

i need a few items change simple modification on menu,

I did a complete installation of the theme
I load the xml file and I cleaned
but i ask you,
I want to be redirected to the page of the Albums/Patterns on my homepage;
sample: demo.jpg
then i want to go to clicked my portfolio same connected to the grid2

and finally, xml security provide or to clean, so How can I prevent fake comment or you can encrypt the xml file?
only want to use the contents of this theme
is it possible to simplify?
