Description
Experience Level: Expert
I want my front page to be like a newspaper grid showcasing post from Sports, Media, and Tech. Then, I want the sections to be separate pages. Also, I want to be able to assign post to certain sections. Essentially adding 3-4 "post" pages.
http://s745255659.onlinehome.us I'm using the Type Plus theme from Design Lab: https://www.designlabthemes.com/type-plus-wordpress-theme/
I would prefer to stay using this theme but I am open to switching to a different theme that will help me better accomplish my goals. The biggest thing is, I want to have the ability to have a post page for each section instead of just the one blog/post page provided by Wordpress. If this can be done via post categories, I'm fine with that but I want it to look good.
If this is the case, all of the categories for my archived sports articles would have to be updated. I think I only need to make changes for homepage because all I have now is sports articles. I'm planning to archive them and start fresh. I do not have a huge budget so whatever options will the most economical is preferred. I also need this to be easily editable in the event I decide to add/remove sections.
Additionally, I don't want the image captions to be included in the excerpts. The social icons in the footer, I'd like them to be centered or aligned to the right.
