Woocommerce Wordpress help

General information for the website: We sell furniture
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Num. of web pages/modules: 2
Description of every page/module: Work will be done on the header of existing website.
Description of requirements/features: First, I added a div to the header with a background image and text inside this div. It is placed behind the logo. I need your help making this image responsive.

Second, I need to have two new widget areas created and added to the header above the logo. I would like to add text widgets to these areas through Appearance>Widgets. These widget areas also need to be responsive.

I'm a web designer needing a little assistance from someone with Woocommerce experience. I have two very specific tasks I need to have done. For someone who knows how to do this it would only take a couple hours. If you are also open to my asking questions and advice about Canvas theme that would be great.
