Website tweaking

Description of requirements/features: My website is www.yorkshireaccountancy.co.uk.

I have just had this developed using the Boldial theme - http://themes.ishyoboy.com/?theme=boldial-wp.

I really like the design. But I feel the designer has taken this as far as he can now.

The site is really slow. So this needs addressing. Is it the hosting (currently with http://raamweb.co.uk/)? Or is it some other underlying issue with the site coding etc?

The blog on the demo has many options and I really like them - especially the Classic and Full Width options. My developer cannot seem to utilise these.

I would also welcome a second opinion on the site and if there are any areas that need tweaking. I perhaps thought the home page slider text needs revising to question the visitor more (i.e. "Do you struggle with your bookkeeping?" Rather than "Bringing Efficiency Back"). So something to grab the visitors eye.
