If your website is on https:// and you are linking out or redirecting to a http:// website, your browser will not send referrer data because of security reasons. That means all of the websites you are sending the traffic to will see your traffic as direct traffic.

I wish to change my website to https and ensure http websites that are linked to can record the referral correctly.

I would like a plugin for Joomla 3.X that creates a redirect for all external links to a http page before then on out to the external website. This should then ensure the referral is recorded on the external http website.
The redirect should only be triggered if the external link is http (not if already https).

An experienced developer is required who is familiar with Joomla and has experience in writing extensions and plugins for database driven content management systems (Joomla, Wordpress, ect.).
A fixed price should be offered for this project. On completion further projects may be offered.
