Untick the Radius box by default and remove from view

Hi, i have a problem on the page below. On the left side you will see a section called "Advanced Search". The first tick box called "Radius" this is always ticked/ selected by default. I want to change this to be un-ticked by default. Please can you then remove the word "Radius" and the box so it cannot be viewed. I do not want visitors to see this box and be able to change it. But i want it to always remain un ticked because this effects the search results.
