Site scraping prototype - Wordpress plugin

As the job title suggests, the project is split into two:

1) Building a prototype to test site scraping functionality
2) Building the system and settings controls as a Wordpress plugin

In simple terms, my client wants to build a niche interest site and one of the features of that site is to show search results from other partner data-driven search sites. Most of the partners will have APIs to work with but some wont, which is why a scraping prototype is required to determine whether it is feasible or not to include scraped content. This prototype will scrape search results from 3 sites and display them on our platform.

I can't go into details due to a signed NDA but can offer enough high level info to determine a scope and quote for this work. Shortlisted candidates will then get more detail and an opportunity to revise their quote accordingly.

I don't want to be prescriptive with how this is built or how it should should work: I want to leave that to the expert. As a prototype, there need not be much in the way of design at this stage.

Essentially I'm looking for a freelance developer who is an expert with Wordpress, has done site scraping before and can offer examples at this stage. I'm looking to work with someone with very good communication skills and a good response time with correspondence.
