Where you can read 'Featured posts stuff...' it have to be the featured post or custom post type (are 3 different) (Only one featured post)
I have installed the 'Featured Post' plugin (http://ssovit.com/featured-post-wordpress-plugin/)
The client wants to mark only one featured post or custom post, and it have to be shown in the home page with the featured image of the post, title, text, data and a "more info" link to the post.
