Need to customize my existing Wordpress Parallax theme to work with mobile devices.

I need to make the parallax portfolio effects on a Themeforest theme work smoothly with mobile devices. Preview of this here:

This should be accomplished by using jetpack plugin to disable the parallax javascript when mobile is detected and add an extra css file or by any other means you feel will best accomplish this. Article on jetpack here:

Note from the article that separate versions of images optimized for mobile will need to be implemented, too.

The theme is already installed and I've customize the css for color and font treatment and is in development stage. It is quite possible that this will just not work or work with only limited success, so only inquire if you are certain something can be done.

Start date on acceptance and would like this to be turned around as soon as possible.
