Joomla Extension Development

Hi,

We have a requirement where we need a Joomla extension developed which connects to an external database via an API and calls information from it to be displayed on the Joomla site.

The API holds information on hotels. We would be looking at having a category page (on the frontend of Joomla) which shows a list of hotels within the chosen category. If a hotel is clicked this opens in a new Joomla page showing the information for that hotel.

This needs to fit in with the standard architecture of Joomla 3.1

Please give realistic timescales and costs for this.

It should be relatively simple to update the extension in the backend and place menu items to the required category page.
