Hello PPH'ers,
I've attached a mock-up(PDF) of the Joomla 2.5 project I'm working on and need help with. I will be referring to this attachment throughout.
Background:
1. The site enables aircraft pilots to submit speed records, relevant data and images via an online form. For the submission forms I use the Form2content Pro CCK component. The data of the submission forms are then published as native joomla articles. More information can be found at http://www.form2content.com/f2c-joomla/pro. I'm also using various alternative templates and layout overrides.
2. Records(articles) are organised into the following categories:
Aircraft Type -> Manufacturer -> Model (See attachment page 2)
3. When a manufacturer is selected, the user gets directed to an overview page with lists of the top 3 records per aircraft model. (See attachment page 4)
4. Once the user clicks on a particular model he/she is then directed to a page (Wall Of Fame - Top 3) with the overall top 3 records in detail. Here I've used the category blog layout with 3 leading articles. (See attachment page 5)
5. On the "Wall Of Fame - Top 3" page, is a dropdown menu with a list of years of the records in the currently displayed "model" category.
6. Selecting a particular year, takes the user to a page which displays all the records (blog layout with intro articles) for the selected year. Bear in mind that this is still the same category(model). (See attachment page 6)
7. Selecting the "Overall" option in #5 above, then takes the user back to the (Wall Of Fame - Top 3) page - again, we're still in the same category.
I need help in getting points 5, 6 & 7 to work.
To see what I have managed so far, you can look at the site at the following URL:
http://acropolismarketing.co.uk/groundspeedrecords/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=466&Itemid=1799
I look forward to your quote.
Regards
Jean
