Improve visually my wordpress website and fix some issues (theme: 2017)

I have a website which doesn't look great, there is a lot of text but it's not very visual. I need someone to suggest changes how to improve it and look professional and implement the changes (using the current theme 2017).

Also there are some things that annoy us (like a very big featured photo for example) and custom css/htms may be needed to fix it.
It's a simple website that doesn't have any interaction with the user, only information about my proofreading/editing services (7 pages in total - all very similar except for Contact Us page; there's a language switch EN-ES-PL which is already implemented). The website is not yet live so when we select 3 offers we will send out more details and give access so it can be looked at.
I'd like to see examples of the work you did before on any of the Wordpress supported themes so please send the link when you make your offer.
Important: after the job is done we will like a 30-45 min video session with screen sharing (not sure how to arrange it yet) where you explain some of the main changes which you've done as we're not familiar with custom css and we want to be able to reverse/correct the changes you've made if we decide they're not very user friendly. This session may be cut to absolute minimum if we love the website and it's spot on and we're 100% sure we won't be reversing :-)
