Description of every page/module: 1 x Top 10 Artists Poll Page
1 x Top 10 Labels Poll Page
1 x Top 10 Tracks Poll Page
1 x Top 10 Albums Poll Page
Description of requirements/features: We want to run an end of year poll allowing users of our website to vote on the following: Top 10 Tracks, Top 10 Remixes, Top 10 Labels, Top 10 Artists ... the resultant data will be used to populate Top 100 lists.
The polls will be part of www.fluxmusic.net, but will have their own page and individual tabs.
The poll will work off an index (which we will populate) for the user to select from ... (see FinalPollIndex.xls attached)
The user will have 10 empty fields that he can populate either by typing in his choices or by selecting them from the list we provide. Have a look at the Poll-Mock (attached) for an idea of what it might look like
Just thinking about the important functions the poll needs to have:
1) Each category (Track, Album, Artist, Label) needs to on separate tabs, so that the user can choose to complete one or all of them
2) Only those logging in through Facebook can vote. And, the user must be restricted to only one round of voting.
3) Once the user has made his selections and submitted them, I would like the user to have the option of sharing them via facebook i.e. I have just chosen my Top 10 Artists for 2014: 1) Recondite 2) Konstantin Sibold .... If you want to vote, follow this link.
4) The poll needs to have a predictive text function, so that If I was (for example) typing in Endless Year as the song title, it would automatically populate GoldFFinch in the artist box because the track title is Endless Year - GoldFFinch
5) Obviously the results of the poll need to saved.
6) We need to be able to update the database index (so that we can re-use the polls next year)
7) Allow a custom image to be uploaded into the poll background
8) Show a real time update of the top 20 choices (based on number of votes) for each category
