Front-End WordPress Development for Directory Website

The website is going to be a directory run on WordPress, and will need to be completely responsive.
The directory will be for the clubbing/nightlife industry, and will be a guide for clubbers.
Myself and another developer are already working on the website, but I am going to need a front-end developer who can do the UI/UX design to help square things away and improve the design and usability of the website from 19th August to 15th September 2013.

There is very high possibility that the designer we use will be given a long-term contract and potential full time employment from January 2014, assuming the developer be interested in leaving the freelance game and join an incredible new business whose service has national and international growth potential.

I need a UK-based designer who can make awesome looking websites, but is also willing to work with shoe-string budget. This is a very lean startup, and I need to keep the startup costs as low as possible.

In terms of the location of the designer, you must at least be in the UK, and ideally in the North West. If you're in Liverpool, that would be fantastic, as the service will be launching in Liverpool first and it would be great to have a local who knows the area and the clubbing scene.
