Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hello,
I’m after wordpress expert to change my site to WordPress CMS.
Website:
http://www.modifiedcars.com/
Current CMS:
Written in Classic ASP using MySQL, I have written the system myself.
Database:
Has several tables:
Members (email, password, username, country etc…)
Cars (car model, year of car, engine modification, suspension, wheels, tyres, other info, videos, is the car for sale? etc)
Makes (list of car makes. E.g. Audi, BMW, Honda etc)
Requirement:
I need an off the shelf membership system like s2member, buddypress to look after the users & registration. The custom development I need is for the ability for users to add and manage their cars (with photos & videos).
When they add a car (a post), they complete a form: e.g. car make, car model, year of car, engine mod, suspension mod, video url or embed etc…) . When they edit their car (post), all the information they added is displayed in a form again. All cars added are subject to review. When a new photos is added at a later stage, that is also subject to a review. Example of a current user’s car: http://www.modifiedcars.com/cars/44064/modified-honda-civic-1.6-vtec-se-sport-2002-pictures.
Maybe using something like http://www.gravityforms.com/ would work?
They also need to be able to add normal posts too.
Further info
If you create an account at http://www.modifiedcars.com/members/register, you will be able to see where users can add or manage their cars.
Data migration
I have already written script which takes the data from my current CMS system to import directly to wordpress e.g. http://www.modifiedcars.com/cars/49810/modified-ford-fiesta-st-rx43-ken-block-rallycross-car-2013-pictures is also on http://www.covercars.com/49810/ken-blocks-2013-ford-fiesta-st-rx43-rallycross-car/.
My current scripts moves the data, renames the files and FTPs them to the wordpress server. But I will discuss this in more details after the above the been achieved.
Thank you
Fais
