We receive a weekly centralised feed of around 25,000 text based records. Each of the 25,000 records has approximatly 7 key fields that need to be examined via a string search to look for key content to help us distinguish and assign key characteristics for each record; i.e. colour, size, material and gender. We already have tables that contain the specific characteristics we are looking for and detail on the searches you will need to run, i.e. what the end result should look like. We need you to design a set of queries that will search the 7 key fields for the values contained in our tables and then populate the core table with this info. The IP for your work and the querieis will need to be included in your price. For example, search through the 25,000 records looking at the text based content for \"red\" and if found create a colour field and populate it with \"red\". Note there could be up to seven different colours associated with the same record in which case there will need to be up to seven seperate colour fields. Do the same for gender, style and material - note we have tables for each of these showing the values we need to look for. You will need a good understanding of the issues that can arise when running string searches, e.g. looking for \"Men\" you may accidently populate a \"Women\" record with \"Men\". We can provide a general set of rules to look out for as well as a sample of the database and more detailed brief if required. Once we are happy with this initial step we will need to conitnue refining the database over the next year to extract the most out of the raw feed with minimal human intervention. This is an urgent project and there are many more much larger but otherwise similar projects a little down the road.
