Google Business Page - help with fixing some issues

We have a business page with Google+ but are unable to get this to show in the results page of any search. Often when you perform a search some of the results are Google Map results in either a list form or sometimes with an accompanying map, this is the search we are unable to get our company to appear in. Other companies appear in the list but we are for some reason unable to get ours there.

I also note recently that other companies are able to get their map, an image and company details such as name, address, hours etc at the top of the results (under the paid ads but before the first organic). We cannot seem to get ours doing the same and think this may be related to the Google+ page issue. The image attached shows this and was done on an iOS device.
