Simple Educational Flash Game - Six Versions

Very clean and simple calculation game in six versions, designed for children. Each version includes only slight variations. Please see below.

Game outline.

Welcome screen reads ‘‘Can you find one more or one less?’ Terms ‘one more’ and ‘one less’ should be emphasised, for example, using bold. Text of welcome screen changes per version, see variation details below.

On the welcome screen, I would also like the text ‘Level 1 - Numbers to 10’, or variations listed below. A little visual care to make this look attractive; maybe a rubber stamp effect at a diagonal angle near the bottom right corner of the welcome screen might be visually attractive, for example, using a font similar to ‘Pricetown Let’ or ‘American Typewriter’.

Ten questions. Random order. Five ‘one more’ and five ‘one less’ questions.

User should be presented with number randomly selected between 1 and 10 on top half of screen with text prompt ‘Can you find one more? OR ‘Can you find one less?’ presented below number. Random mix, not five ‘one more’ questions followed by five ‘one less’ questions. User should then be presented with 6 number options, one of which will be the correct answer.

Incorrect presses should receive ‘try again’ message.
Correct responses should receive small visual tick.

Correct answers tallied and presented on completion of the game. ‘Well done! You scored XX out of 10. Click to try again.

Variations of game.

Version 1: One more / one less within 10.

Welcome message: Can you find one more or one less?
Stamp: Level 1 – Numbers to 10.
Presented Numbers: 1 - 10
Question mix: 5 ‘Can you find one more?’ and 5 ‘Can you find one less?’

Version 2: One more / one less within 20.
Welcome message: Can you find one more or one less?
Stamp: Level 2 – Numbers to 20.
Presented Numbers: 1 - 20
Question mix: 5 ‘Can you find one more?’ and 5 ‘Can you find one less?’

Version 3: One more / one less within 50.
Welcome message: Can you find one more or one less?
Stamp: Level 3 – Numbers to 50.
Presented Numbers: 1 – 50
Question mix: 5 ‘Can you find one more?’ and 5 ‘Can you find one less?’

Version 4: Two more / Two less within 10.
Welcome message: Can you find two more or two less?
