Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I have several old Joomla sites on a shared linux hosting account and need an automated backup solution implemented that will zip and compress each site's files as well as a mysql dump.
I would like 5 backups saved for each site and database.
The backup file names should have site name and date in them.
The backups can be stored on the server in a common backups folder or they can be stored on Amazon storage space.
I should be able to uncompress a site backup file, upload the files to the server, and replace the site files there manually. I should be able to use each mysql dump file to restore a database.
With the solution, I should be able to implement it for future sites on this account by just adding credentials to a config file. I should also be able to remove sites from being backed up when the sites are removed from the server.
Open to suggestions.
(Candidate will possibly do this on my VPS as well when this is complete.)
