Seeking virtual creative PR professional with a phone full of media contacts

We are a small community of women travellers sharing their travel experiences through travel writing. We have been quietly running for six years, but the time has come to get out from under all the other travel community websites out there, and make some noise.

We are therefore looking for a PR professional who has strong PR skills and a large media contact list, to help us become the 'belle of the ball'. We will initially work with the appointed person for a month, when the project will be reviewed, and hopefully continued.

It is essential the relevant person has experience of working with online community websites, experience of working within travel, fashion, and / or women's lifestyle, and must have a personal passion for travel. But most of all, like us you must love a challenge, as you will be working with a small website with large ambitions, but constrained by a small budget.

Over the first, trial month, using mainly UK contacts, the relevant person will undertake two key roles for us:

1) Promotion - write engaging and effective press releases and social media posts to ...

encourage women to contribute their travel writing and / or photos to our website

encourage women to attend out travel writing and photography workshops

promote diverse traveller in on and offline publications

encourage relevant brands to offer eye-catching prizes for our competitions and for review

encourage published travel writers and photographers to contribute to our site and / judge our competitions

encourage relevant brands to supply us with eye-catching discounts for our readers

2) monitor - capture any mention of our site on and offline, and compile a weekly report with recommendations for improvements.
