Search Engine Optimisation / SEO

I recently started a business which publishes business-to-business market reports, displayed on my website.

I've just had the website re-done to create an on-line shop. However, I have not done anything in the way of SEO and, unsurprisingly, my site hardly comes up on search engines.

The search terms I'd like to be visible for are when someone is looking for market information on an area that I have written a report on. These are mainly UK business services, including pest control, contract catering and TV production. At the moment, the search term [pest control market report] throws up PR I have done and loads of competitors, but never my site!

I want someone to do a basic SEO job on it to get it more visible for that type of search. I'm also open to suggestions for further work. Please bid if you can give an example of having done something similar on a UK business-to-business site.

The site is written in Wordpress. Its structure is pretty straightforward: about five main pages plus a catalogue of reports (currently 10 but growing) which have a page each, and a shop.
