Script to check database entries for a date match and then display that entry

I am looking for someone to produce a script which will display a 'random' entry in the database if the date of the entry in the database matches the current calendar date.

For instance if today's date was 1st August 2013 (01/08/2013) then the script would display a random entry from the database if the date and month matched i.e 01/08/2004, 01/08/2006, 01/08/1950 etc. 9 fields would then be displayed for this database entry in the output file.

If no matches are found then default text should be displayed saying that no entries match.

The web site that this script will be used on has been built using php and a MySQL database.
