Description
Experience Level: Expert
We need an engineer to make a model in Ansys or any other similar software according to the attached drawing and picture.
Than load should be applied to the strait surface as seen on the attached drawing.
The force is spread over the complete area.
The coupling is a single C-shape coupling
material: Cast steel
Yield 330 N/mm2
Tensile 600 N/mm2
Elongation 18%
We need to know:
1) what is the safety factor when putting 880,000 N on the coupling.
2) what deformation will occure?
3) what is the weakest area?
4) how can we make it stiff and strong enough to achieve safety factor of 2 if not achieved now?
