Description
Experience Level: Entry
We produce monthly DVD and CD reminiscence activity materials for the elderly in UK care homes and are looking for a researcher/editor to help source and prepare suitable audio visual material.
You would need to have knowledge of songs and films from the period 1930s -1960s and therefore being older would be an advantage!
This job has 2 elements:
1. Video material
You need to watch material from the period with a view to
create a 100 clips, as follows:
40 -50 songs
remainder: comedy / general reminiscence material
You will then review them and time mark relevant content, (2-3 mins in length) so it can be passed to our video editor to do the final processing.
Initially you will be provided with the relevant source material (dvds). Later you'll be expect to source suitable dvd material yourself. expenses for this will be covered.
Each clip needs a simple title page
Lyrics for the songs identified above will need to be researched and formated ready for printing (in pdf format).
Prepare simple background info on all chapters from wikipedia etc (pdf). examples
available.
Post finished product to Daily Sparkle
2. CD production
From a list of 30 tracks per month tracks (which we provide) you will find and download the audio from youtube
Using a basic audio editing software (audacity or similar) edit these to approx. 2 minute length tracks.
Burn a master CD - to be posted to us
Create a playlist (see example attached)
Research background info (wikipedia etc) for each track. (see example attached)
-----
Working with Apple macs is an advantage, but not a necessity.
This is an ongoing project and training, general help and resources are available for the right candidate.
If you responded to job #160783 - please resubmit as we had to change the spec. Apologies.
Re copyright; please note that we undertake all responsibility for any and all copyright issues arising.
Many thanks
