Report to be written on Computer Clusters using LINPACK

The report should have a maximum of 2500 words and have a well-defined structure similar to the following:

Objectives/Introduction
The student should show a clear understanding of what they are trying to achieve and be able to describe the objectives of the exercise.
The introduction should summarise the layout of the report and what the student has achieved.

Background/Literature
This section should include:
• Applications of Computer Clusters and the need for improved performance.
• Evolution of Benchmarking in computer architecture and the various architectures that exist.

Design/Implementation
This section should:
• Provide information on how to compile and run LINPACK
• Provide an explanation of the libraries used.
• Show how they have chosen the test cases.

Analysis
This section must:
• Evaluate the results of the benchmarking and present them in a pleasing manner
• Explain how and why the various platforms differ in performance
• Explain what possible bottle necks exist in the various benchmarked systems

Results/Conclusions
The conclusion section should include:
• Critical discussion about the system, (did it work?, if not, why not?).
• The student should discuss the limitations of the system and how it could be developed further.
• Statement of what the student learned from the exercise.

References/Bibliography
The student should acknowledge all sources of information in the Harvard referencing model. [REQUIRED]
